My Favorite Books

Hello, my name is Aaron Bacon. Welcome to my reading blog.

I have read and enjoyed many different types of books, from non-fiction to Sci-fi, the Harry Potter series to Stephen King. I like each one for a different reason, and each book I read has something special. Some are suspenseful, others funny, some are sad, and some of the books require some extra thought to the meaning of the book; or a message the writer is trying to send. But out of all this, these are my favorite books:

Many of These books have been turned into movies, so I posted the trailers to give you a better Idea of what the book is about. But some of the trailers have graphic content, so please watch cautiously. Trailers with graphic content are marked.

10. Sphere - Michael Crichton Viewer discretion is advised

9. Jurassic park - Michael Crichton Viewer discretion is advised

8. Angels and Demons - Dan Brown Viewer Discretion is advised

7. Between Shades of Grey

6. Animal Farm

5. The life of Bees - Sue Monk Kidd

4. The Outsiders - S.E. Hinton
3. Life Of Pi - Yann Martel

This is a great book. It's about a teenage boy who finds himself on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific with a Bengal Tiger. While this book is gripping, it also deals with tragedy, survival and reality. Enough said.

2. Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

This book is well written, has a great story, and really makes you think; about government, censorship, and well... the importance of literature.

1. The Book Thief - Marcus Zusak Viewer discretion is advised

This book is truly incredible. From the story, to the writing, it's just great. It's about a girl in Nazi Germany during WWII, who, while dealing with great loss, must move to a new home, and come face to face with oppression - and death. Just read this book.
